Chapbook Launch: Matriarchetypes by Nina Sudhakar

Join us as we celebrate the launch of 2017 Bird's Thumb Poetry Chapbook Contest winner Matriarchetypes by Nina Sudhakar.

Nina Sudhakar is an Indian-American writer, poet and lawyer currently based in Chicago. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in publications such as Ecotone, Breakwater Review and Big Lucks.

Angela Just is a Chicago poet whose chapbook Everything I Own was recently published by Porkbelly Press. Her work has appeared in Bird’s Thumb, Sow’s Ear, Flyway, MAKE, After Hours, Free Lunch and other journals.

Suzanne Frank designs residential landscapes and studies birds. She has had poems in Bird’s Thumb, 10x3 Plus Poetry Journal, Sow’s Ear, Another Chicago Magazine (ACM), Stray Bullets: Anthology of Chicago Saloon Poets and Power Lines. She has been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes for her poetry. She belongs to the Chicago writing collective Egg Money Poets.
