About the Author
Judi Hechtman, Deborah Ellermeyer, and Sandra Ford Grove all teach in a primary multi-age classroom at the University School at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA. The is their second book for Scholastic Professional Books, following Teaching Math with Favorite Picture Books. Judi has spent nearly 30 years teaching grades K-8. She and her husband live in a log cabin in Murrysville, PA with their 3 cats and German Shepherd.She coauthored the hands-on science series Explore and Discover, and I'm Glad I'm Me: Self Esteem for Young Learners (Creative Teaching Press) with Sandra Ford Grove. Sandra has been an elementary teacher since 1990. She and her husband reside in Johnstown, PA, with their two cockatiels. Deborah Ellermeyer has been an educator since 1987. She has taught high school English as well as students in grades 1-8. She resides in Indiana, PA with her daughter, son, and cat.
