As climate change begins to make parts of the Earth uninhabitable, people are forced to migrate. Shifting Climates, Shifting People grapples with the disparate impacts of climate change on nations impoverished by colonialism, centering the wisdom of Black, Indigenous, and non-white scholars for much-needed perspective on environmental destruction. The death spiral of fossil fuels and rapid environmental degradation affect all people, but those most marginalized are also those most impacted; as such, their voices are necessarily centered in Shifting Climates, Shifting People.
