About the Author


Meththika Vithanage is Professor and Director of the Ecosphere Resilience Research Center in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka. Her research is focused on the environmental remediation of toxic metals, antibiotics, agrochemicals, serpentine soil chemistry, and waste biomass conversion. Majeti Prasad, PhD, is Emeritus Professor in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Hyderabad in India. He has 38 years' experience teaching environmental science in India's federal university system.
