What happens when you mix Elementary School, rumors, fear, and lice? To the Nitwits, the world is a place of constant moving as they look for a place to lay their eggs. The Nitwits world collides with third grader Tammy Smith, her friends and her family when they come to Tammy's classroom. Tammy's old best friend has lice and her new best friend tells the whole world about it. Tammy gets caught in the middle and then the worst thing happens, she gets lice too.

Heidi Macomber is a mom of three children who are now mostly full grown. Raising her children with her awesome husband Joe is her most rewarding accomplishment. Emily Macomber drew these pictures years ago when she was in Middle School and still likes to draw and write.
