An abandoned poor village girl Sarah, lives a life that is parallel to that of a cunning city wise European, Edward. It is at the height of the liberation struggle in Rhodesia and the war spreads like a wild fire across the country. Although coming from different backgrounds, one privileged with all the trappings of a comfortable and well to do suburban life, and the other an impoverished village life, where every waking day is a struggle for survival. They find their paths crossing in unexpected ways and their fates linking together. In this historical war fiction, the two protagonists find themselves caught up in an intense war situation, but maintain their individual human feelings without allowing themselves to be swept away by the tide of hate, anger and racism that sweeps across the land.
