Charlotte Bronte first published her best known novel, Jane Eyre under the pen name Currer Bell. Originally published in 1847, Jane Eyre is a classic coming of age novel that follows the emotions and experiences of its title character, including her growth to adulthood and her love for Mr. Rochester, the Romantic hero and master of fictitious Thornfield Hall.
