About the Author


Born Missouri in 1835, Samuel Clemens wrote under the pen name Mark Twain. Aside from being a novelist, he was also a riverboat pilot, inventor, journalist, and lecturer. Mark Twain's literature explored the American soul with wit and a sharp eye for truth. Through his great works including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Mark Twain became nothing less than a national treasure.
