Anselm Rau studierte Kunstgeschichte, Katholische Theologie und Psychoanalyse in Frankfurt am Main und Rom. Seit 2016 Universitatsassistent fur mittelalterliche Kunstgeschichte an der Universitat Stuttgart. Forschungsinteressen: Historische Emotionsforschung, Imaginations- und Gebetspraxis, Liturgische Kontextualisierung des Kunstwerks.
