Join us for the release party celebrating The Eggshell Skull Rule, the debut full-length poetry collection from Amy Strauss Friedman. Amy will be reading along with guest readers and fellow poets Jessica L. Walsh and Donna Vorreyer.
Amy Strauss Friedman is the author of the chapbook Gathered Bones are Known to Wander. Her poetry has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net, and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Pleiades, The Rumpus, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, and elsewhere. Amy earned her MA in Comparative Literature from Northwestern University. She was born and raised in Chicago where she taught English at Harper College and at Northwestern’s Center for Talent Development. She now lives in Denver, Colorado where she teaches English and writes. Her work can be found at amystraussfriedman.com.
Jessica L. Walsh is the author of How to Break My Neck and The List of Last Tries (forthcoming) as well as two chapbooks. Her work has appeared in RHINO, Tinderbox, The Fem, and more. She is a professor of English at Harper College and the blog manager for Agape Editions.
Donna Vorreyer is the author of Every Love Story is an Apocalypse Story (Sundress Publications, 2016) and A House of Many Windows (Sundress, 2013) as well as eight chapbooks, most recently The Girl (Porkbelly Press).
