Book Launch Party: Tonight We Fuck The Trailer Park Out of Each Other by C. Russell Price

Join us as we celebrate the launch of the first chapbook from one of the most exciting voices to emerge from the Chicago poetry scene, C. Russell Price.

The poetry of C. Russell Price's debut chapbook, Tonight, We Fuck the Trailer Park Out of Each Other, is bruise beautiful, switchblade sharp, and ashes-to-power strong. Make no mistake: these poems are a take-no-prisoners afterparty complete with playlist. Songs are sung, stories are told, and secrets are brought to light--but it's not the light of the sun. It's the flames of an entire town burning to the ground and a brave new voice walking out of the fire announcing, "I'm here. I've survived. But I'm going back in to make sure you do, too."

C. Russell Price is an Appalachian genderqueer punk performance poet who lives in Chicago. Their work has been featured in Assaracus, Court Green, MiPoesias,  Nimrod International, voicemail poems, and elsewhere. They hold a BA from the University of Virginia and an MFA from Northwestern University (where Price currently teaches poetry writing). Their chapbook Tonight, We Fuck the Trailer Park Out of Each Other will be released in June by Sibling Rivalry Press. Price works with the literary journal The Offing (a channel of the LA Review of Books) and performs across Chicago.

For this book launch event, Russ will be joined by a stellar line-up of Chicago literary luminaries, including Samantha Irby, Megan Stielstra, Andy Karol, Simone Muench, and Marty McConnell. C. Russell Price is an Appalachian genderqueer punk performance poet who lives in Chicago.
