Sappho's Salon: Open Mic!

Co-hosted by Liz Baudler and Eileen Tull
Tuesday, December 13 at 7:30;
open mic sign-up begins at 7 p.m.
Yes, we know we just had a kick-ass open mic, but we're having the one we planned on having too! This is our last Sappho's Salon Open Mic of 2016! We have two excellent feature performers, including e nina jay and Clara and the Great Goddam! Open mic slots are five minutes and open to female identifying, trans, and nonbinary humans.
All of our open mic folks will get a bookstore coupon! Email with
any questions. e nina jay is a lesbian/womon/activist/writer of African descent who uses poetry as a tool of survival and to break the silence of all forms of violence against women. Clara and the Great Goddam is a musician and songwriter, playing all over Chicago at Beast Women, Menage-a-Hah, and more. Her joyful, funny, and thoughtful work focuses on a variety of subjects including body positivity and dating. As always, open mic is pay-what-you-can ($1 and up!) and BYOB. Proceeds benefit featured performers and the bookstore's Women's Voices Fund. And, we'll have our beloved snacks from the aptly named Middle Eastern Bakery
