CM Burroughs is Associate Professor of Poetry at Columbia College Chicago. She is the author of two collections: The Vital System (Tupelo Press, 2012) and Master Suffering (Tupelo Press, 2020.) Burroughs has been awarded fellowships and grants from Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, Djerassi Foundation, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Cave Canem Foundation. She has received commissions from the Studio Museum of Harlem and the Warhol Museum to create poetry in response to art installations. Burroughs’ poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies including Poetry, Callaloo, jubilat, Ploughshares, VOLT, and Best American Experimental Writing Anthology. Burroughs has given readings, lectures, and workshops across America and abroad.
Luther Hughes is the author of A Shiver in the Leaves (BOA Editions, 2022), Founder of Shade Literary Arts, and 1/3 or the Poet Salon. He lives in Seattle, WA.
Andrea Applebee is an American poet, essayist, and editor living in Athens, Greece. Her first book of poetry, Aletheia, was published in 2017 by Black Square Editions, and her autobiographical Mercy Athena was published by Sylph Press in 2020. Anemones, a chapbook of poems with art by Paolo Colombo is forthcoming from Magra Press this summer.
